Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an independent and adaptive link rate control for a 1Gbps/10Gbps hybrid PON, where the low power consumption 1Gbps transceivers are maximally used even when incoming traffic reaches the given threshold. We show effectiveness of our proposed method in terms of energy efficiency through simulation experiments.
