Abstract :
A new plug-socket without electrical contact between the plug and socket for underwater application is proposed. This plug-socket is currently registered as patent with number of 71468 in Iran. All parts of the proposed plug-socket are modeled and the optimum design is obtained using iterative approaches. The efficiency of the obtained design is evaluated with flux density simulations using Maxwell Software Package. Furthermore, to verify the design, a prototype has been constructed and tested. The performed simulations and experimental results reveal the effectiveness of proposed plug-socket.
