Abstract
As an advanced technology for information sensing and transmission, Internet of Things (IoT) has been applied extensively in the power generation, transmission, substations, distribution, utilization and other processes, and will develop with broad prospect in Smart Grid. This paper focuses on IoT application in transmission lines. A networking strategy for transmission line on-line monitoring system based on IoT was proposed. It makes sure the node calculate the route, according to deployment location and RF(Radio Frequency) environment automatically, form a network in the deployment area and then send the data back in a multi-hop way. Meanwhile, it optimizes networking protocol by means of low overhead control, taking into account low-power needs of node device as well.
