Abstract :
In the networks with high bandwidth delay product (BDP), high speed Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) variants adjust their congestion windows with different rules. We investigate the trade off between fairness and recovery frequency when updating congestion window. We then suggest a rule when setting the values in Additive Increase Multiplicative Decrease (AIMD) parameters. The analytical and simulation results verify the fairness of the rule.
