Empirical study on the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in China

Based on the detailed historical data, this paper analyzed the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in China. It elaborated the fluctuating rules and characteristics of the factors such as the growth rate, the composition and the industrial distribution of energy production and consumption. This paper focused on the relationship between the energy consumption and GDP in China, and regressed to the corresponding model according to the relevant data. It helped us to make clearer about the historical trends of China´s energy development and the role the energy played in the economic growth.
