  • Abstract
    TCP congestion control is end-to-end control mechanism, which is implemented through controlling some important parameters change and used by many computer networks; yet different networks have multiple implementations when using TCP. With the network expansion and traffic proliferation, congestion control capabilities are becoming increasingly important in the TCP implementation, thus continuous improvement, expansion and perfection for TCP congestion control algorithm becoming a research hotspot. This article describes several improved algorithms in detail, explores the TCP-friendly congestion control algorithms appropriate to multimedia information flow, analyzes TCP congestion control mechanisms in high-speed network environment and introduces the class of TCP congestion control algorithm, and pointes out that research situation and development direction in the field based on in-depth analysis in the core of TCP congestion control algorithm.
