Abstract :
When a capsule impacts onto the sea waves, its impact load and movement are more complex than that of the capsule impacting onto the static water due to the wave impact of the sea. Based on the method of ALE (Arbitrary Lagrange Euler), a numerical-wave-tank that has good repeatability and stability is built. This provides the basis of calculating the coupling force when the capsule impact onto the sea with any kind of the wave conditions. The study of capsule´s impact onto the sea waves may provide the reference for capsule´s design and manufacture for landing onto the sea by accidence or by plan. The results show that horizontal velocity has a significant effect to the maximum impact acceleration of the capsule under wave conditions, which is not under static water.
