Abstract
In this study, an extended version of the “Technology Acceptance Model” (TAM) was developed to investigate the underlying factors that influence students´ intention to use an e-learning system in Thailand, a developing country which needs departure from the bulk of traditional ways to a modern and updated educational learning technology The TAM was populated using the data gathered from a survey of 86 students who had ever had any experience of using the system at university. The model was estimated using Structured Equation Modeling (SEM). The application of the TAM to e-learning is relatively new, and the power of SEM has the potential to add new insights into the factors underpinning students´ acceptance of e-learning technology. The results revealed that “System Interactivity”, “Internet Experience” and “Perceived Ease of Use” are the strongest and most important predictors in intention of Thai students towards e-learning systems.
