Abstract
The paper presents results of the four-year research of communication in online courses running in the LMS WebCT. The research focuses on occurrence of “voluntary, not obligatory” communication activities which were provided (or not) when assignments were submitted to tutor´s evaluation in the courses of Database Systems, Management and IT English running at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University if Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. If such a type of communication appears, more pleasant learning environment and consequently higher level of knowledge are expected.
