Abstract :
Internet environment is rapidly being migrated towards `mobile´, but the current Internet was historically designed for `static´ environment and thus it is inevitably subject to architectural limitations in the mobile-oriented Internet environment. In this paper, we propose a new inter-networking architecture for the mobile-oriented Internet environment. For this, we first identify a set of requirements by analyzing the problems of the current Internet in the viewpoint of mobile-oriented Internet environments. Based on the requirements, we describe the proposed architecture with the three functional building blocks: Host ID and Local Locator (HILL), Dynamic and Distributed Mapping System (DDMS) and Query-First Data Delivery (QFDD). Finally, the proposed architecture is compared with the existing ones in various aspects.
