Abstract :
In this paper, KSr1-x-yPO4:xTb3+:yCe3+ (x=0.06) phosphors with different concentrations of Ce3+ ions (y= 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04) were successfully synthesized using microwave assisted sintering at 1200□ under air atmosphere. The luminescent characteristics of KSr1-x-yPO4:xTb3+:yCe3+ (x=0.06) phosphors were investigated and discussed. The XRD results showed that all the samples were matched with the standard patterns of KSrPO4, even though the doping concentrations of Ce3+ ions are increased. The photoluminescence measurement shows that the major emission peak was located at 542 nm, approximating a green luminescence, corresponds to 5D4→7F5 transition and the optimal concentration of Ce3+ which was 0.03 was observed. Moreover, the chromaticity (x, y) is (0.31, 0.53) and the tunable phenomenon was not observed as the concentration of Ce3+ was increased.
