Abstract
Based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), unsteady flow fields around automobile were simulated by adopting technology of dynamic mesh. According to the distribution of the pressure fields, the influences of the flow field on the aerodynamic forces were analyzed. The trends and reasons of aerodynamic force changing were obtained from the flow field of simulation results. The quantificational changing of automobiles aerodynamic force when they crossed each other was obtained. The simulation results show that the all aerodynamic forces of two automobiles change a lot. On the condition of the different spaces, the transient changing of the Transversal force of the automobiles were obtained and their influences on the stability of the automobiles were analyzed. It is concluded that this way is viable, and valuable in the traffic control. The aerodynamic force is important to the vehicles, handling stability when they cross each other.
