Abstract :
Roughness of concrete pavement is partly due to cracks, potholes, road repairs and so on, therefore, pavement roughness is correlated to distress rate. However, the correlation is not clear, and has not been reflected in existing pavement evaluation models. Firstly, linear and nonlinear regression are used to analyze the relationships between international roughness index and pavement distress rate. Then, original data are processed by logarithmic transformation, radical transformation, exponential transformation and so on, based on which, corresponding relationships are analyzed by linear and nonlinear regression. In the end, best models to describe relationships between international roughness index and pavement distress rate are solved out, and corresponding 90% confidence intervals are computed. Research in this paper offers a reference for improving concrete pavement performance evaluation system and models, which is conducive to further theoretical research and practice.
