Abstract :
The paper proposes a Quad-band rectangular planar monopole antenna structure that can be used in GSM-900, GSM-1800, GSM-1900 and ISM band. The proposed geometry is simulated using IE3D simulator and fabricated on FR-4 substrate. The simulated S-parameter result clearly indicates the presence of all four desired bands. Prior to fabrication other output curves like radiation pattern, efficiency and gain plots are also obtained. The measured result further shows good agreement with the simulated result. The proposed antenna is fairly omni-directional and supports angular diversity at GSM-1900 and ISM band.
