Abstract :
Gantry crane is primary handling device in portal work, and also may cause serious accidences, so it is particularly important to monitor and assess the crane´s structural health. By taking the gantry crane as a research object, ZigBee wireless network and the components of the structural health monitoring system based on ZigBee technology are introduced in this paper, and the testing point position is determined by application of finite element analysis. The structural health monitoring of the gantry crane is achieved.
