Abstract :
This paper deals with the theoretical and experimental investigation on the mechanical system used to produce file cutting edges or teeth. A theoretical model was carried out to perform kinematic and dynamic motion characteristics of the mechanical system (cam-follower-spring) of the cutting file machine. With the intent to validate the theoretical model, an industrial machine was appropriately redesigned and instrumented to obtain some experimental data.
