Abstract :
The paper reports on the technical, economical and electricity generation capacity assessment of two installed and grid connected renewable Distributed Generation (DG) systems in Mashhad; one landfill gas system and one wind farm. Theoretical models for electricity generation potential that are developed in Homer package are compared with real world measured data collected after implementation and working for two years. The results of assessment are used to determine the viability of such DGs in Mashhad electricity distribution network.
