Abstract
Fluctuating renewable energy resources (RES) connected to all voltage levels change the electricity infrastructure. In the evolving system, flexibility is the key for a stable operation. Energy storage systems (ESS) can provide the necessary flexibility, but also lead to conflicts of interests among the stakeholders of the electricity system. In this paper a framework for analysing potential multifunctional use cases (UC) for multiple users of ESS and for identifying conflict of interests is introduced.
