Abstract :
With the rapid development of power system and the continuous expansion of the scale of power grids, problems such as heavy maintenance workload, repetitive modeling and low redundancy and accuracy of basic data are emerging in the traditional method of centralized modeling in control center. In this paper, a two-level distributed modeling system is presented to solve these problems, which moves parts of functions of EMS from control center to substation. This paper mainly focuses on distributed modeling of protection devices. Based on detailed analysis of IEC 61850, a practical modeling method of protection devices as well as the modeling specifications is put forward. With the visualized modeling tool carried out, the model of protection devices can be conveniently built in substation and transmitted to control center.
