  • Abstract
    Condition based maintenance and diagnosis technology plays an important role in power system reliability, as it is able to identify the faulty sections in power systems before the failure occurs. With the development of smart grid technology, a lot of research has been focused on the online monitoring technology, condition based maintenance and diagnosis technology. This paper surveyed the current research situation in this area and presented several key equipments in the distribution networks, such as power cable, circuit breaker, switch cabinet, transformer and substation. Several hot issues involved in these equipments are surveyed and proposed.
