Abstract :
The main approach of the uplink channel of powerline broadband meter reading from the community to the control master station is wireless, that is, the concentrator connects the master station by the internal wireless module. A new networking approach was proposed in this paper to solve the uplink channel problem in non-signal or poor-signal areas encountered in the on-site implementation. At present, wireless communication modules of the concentrator are installed as discrete modules. The uplink wireless communication and the local powerline communication were achieved by the internal gateway of the concentrator.Specifically, to select a building with good powerline communication and install a powerline broadband private gateway and wireless communication module (with antenna) on the high window with good signal but little shelter to make a "upside-down" communication structure. At the same time, the downlink from the main station to the concentrator is also reversible. Compared with the original method, the difficulty of construction and the investment on resources and manpower of the new approach are more cost-effective; from the perspective of the working principle, in the two-way transmission of the powerline by broadband carrier communication, the wireless access point can be selected more flexibly and the information is of much reliability, stability and security, as well as the data transfer rate is higher, and the bandwidth recourses can be fully utilized.
