Abstract :
A complete secondary system can be split concerning the engineering responsibility into different parts. Example is separate engineering of line operation interlocking between substations. This paper presents a new approach to line operation IEDs engineering with exchanged information between substations, which is compatible with IEC 61850. In this paper, Architecture of Line Operation between substations is constructed, the engineering right handling is introduced, and the engineering process of line operation IED is proposed. The resulting ability to allow the engineering of data flow between projects will greatly enhance the engineering process of automation systems, speeding the progress toward the realization of the Smart Grid concept.
