Abstract :
Experimental observation of a shock wave generated in Al target by soft X-ray induced by the dynamic compression and heating of plasma in cylindrical Z-pinch geometry at ANGARA-5-1 is reported. Results of numerical simulation agree with experimental measurements of shock wave propagation through the target at maximum power density of 1–2 TW/sq.cm for nonPlanck radiation and at 4 TW/sq.cm if the spectrum of radiation is supposed to be Planck
