Abstract :
The issue focuses on the cause of IPO´s industry and region category effect in Chinese stock market. The reason of IPO´s category effect is that IPO incites significant contagion effect and competition effect in the market. This conclusion has been empirically supported by the exiting data, and then, we further explored the factors that affect IPO´s category effect. The issue provides a new thinking of the generation mechanism for IPO´s category effect.
