Abstract :
In this paper, a new contour extraction method is proposed to support the actual needs of the air motor single station´s passive detection. On the basis of the GVF-Snake model, the proposed snake model introduces the image area information. The experimental results show that the model is less sensitive to the initialization of the contour, better able to converge to the true outline of the goals. The model can also make improvements on the contour extraction to the highly concave boundary of the object.
