  • Abstract
    For contour machining systems, the machining contour accuracy more directly affects the machining accuracy of work piece than the single-axis location accuracy. Therefore, the research on motion contour control of manufacturing equipments has an important significance to improve their machining accuracy. Considering the embedded NC real-time contour control requirements, the contour self-control scheme based on real-time contour error compensation control technique and fuzzy logic theory is proposed. In the control method, a feed rate adjusted loop based on fuzzy logic is added. And it could improve the variable window size problem in the real time contour error compensation control technique. Simulation results on the second-order mathematical model of two-axis controlled contour motion are provided to illustrate the proposed control methods.
