Abstract :
Accurate determination of tissue optical parameters (i.e. the absorption and scattering coefficients) is crucial for further derivation of many other parameters related to hemodynamics states. Due to complexities in compositions and structures of tissue in nature, the broadband wavelength-dependency of optical parameters is important to asses the state of investigated tissue. In this paper a novel and simple extraction scheme from simple diffuse optical measurements using only single distance of source-detector probe is described. The use of single pair source-detector probe will significantly reduce the complexity and cost of measurement system. Result of the measurements is benchmarked with the ones obtained using the Imagent ISS frequency-domain oxymeter.
