  • Abstract
    Parameters identification for synchronous generator is one of a significant means to ensure the accuracy of power system stability analysis. This paper decouples the synchronous generator from the corresponding excitation controller and related power network by using the measured data from PMU. Subsequently, the parameters identification for synchronous generator with PMU data is formulated as an optimization problem of dynamic input-output system. Finally, the hybrid algorithm which is based on the combination of the genetic algorithm (GA) and gradient-based searching is proposed to obtain the solution. The simulation results of the BPA fifth-order model of synchronous generator show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
