  • Abstract
The application of sealed-off triggered vacuum switches (TVS) for reliable and switching high-voltage high-capacity energy storages and power systems is rather perspective [1]. Such device is non-incandescence free three-electrode hermetically sealed one with pressure of residual gases not exceeding 10−4 Pa, capable under influence of a trigger pulse to be switched on with high rate (less than 1 µs) and to operate in wide of voltages and currents: U= (1 – 100) kV; I= (0,001 – 200) kA. TVS is distinguished by the high rate of electric strength recovery, compactness, noiselessness, fire and explosion proofness, ecological cleanness during manufacture and operation. reliability in a wide range of environment conditions.
