Abstract
This paper proposes an improved joint detection (JD) approach based on lattice reduction (LR) to promote the link performance of TD-SCDMA system. The LR aided JD transforms the system matrix to a better conditioned matrix with favorite mathematical properties so as to obtain the diversity gain. Furthermore, in order to reduce the complexity of LR, the system matrix is processed through column permutation to achieve a simple cyclically shifted block matrix. The simulation results reveal that the improved JD has 2.6 dB and 3.5 dB gain compared with the traditional JD at BER=10-5 respectively in the two scenarios mentioned in this paper, and particularly has distinct advantage over the traditional JD with the increase of interference.
