Abstract
In this report the 4th sub-harmonic mixer is researched and realized. The original 4th order harmonic mixer is a microstrip line mixer which is widely used in wireless system because of its low cost cooperates with the low frequency of the local oscillator. But the isolation and conversion loss is a little poor and (Compact Microsctrip Resonant Cell) CMRC is inserted into the circuit to reduce the conversion loss. The mixer using CMRC in this paper is for the C baud application. The result shows that when use CMRC the conversion loss is improved. So 4th order sub-harmonic mixer with low local oscillator and CMRC can get low conversion loss.
