Abstract :
In psychological fields, there are many chances to estimate the state of mind of patients. For estimating the mind state of a subject, there are many researches using eye movements. For severe motor and intellectual disabilities, we can only utilize the eye movements to estimate the sight ability. This paper proposes the estimation method of the state of mind using the eye movement observation with facial videos. Using a video camera for observing the face of a subject, there is no need to attach some markers or tools on his face. There is no disturbance around their environments except a video camera. This paper discusses the method to estimate the amount of eye´s movements and confirms that we can estimate the state of a subject´s mind state based on the estimated amount of eye´s movements.
