Abstract :
This paper describes a development of multi-communication component based on context awareness for vehicle which is one of the common components developed in reusable component-based vehicle-IT convergence platform to reduce the repetitive development process and facilitate the development of vehicle-IT products and services. This component enables to select the best suitable wireless network based on context-awareness information considering various networks and vehicle environment factors in the wireless networks such as WAVE, DSRC, WLAN and WCDMA. The component helps software engineers to develop very fast and easily vehicle-IT service applications which provide the user with the best service through the most suitable network according to current position and situation.
