Abstract
The multimedia streaming service such as YouTube uses the client-server model. Because of the scalability, peer-to-peer model can be applied for the multimedia streaming service. In order to provide the sufficient quality of multimedia streaming service based on P2P technology, the consideration on some issues is needed. In this paper, we handle the peer churn problem and the heterogeneity problem. Through reducing the peer dependency and imposing different burden on peer according to its capability, we tried to solve the two issues.
