Abstract :
In this paper, a convenience healthcare monitoring system and a real-time arrhythmia or abnormal ECG detection algorithm are developed. Performance analysis on R-peak detection and abnormal ECG detection has been carried out using several MIT/BIH Arrhythmia Database. The performance analysis shows an average percentage accuracy of 99.63% for R-peak detection and an average percentage accuracy of 92.46% for abnormal ECG. We also implemented the abnormal ECG detection algorithm in a patch type ECG measurement system for daily life ECG monitoring. The experimental result proves the capability of real-time abnormal ECG classification in daily life.
