Abstract :
We consider a a multi-server retrial queueing system with general retrial time distribution which includes customer abandonments when a server is not available upon arrival, and customer impatience, when a a retrial customer may leave the system. Such systems are not work conserving and pose interesting analytical problems. In this paper, we use the theory of symmetric functions to provide a symbolic analytical solution for finding the capacity of such systems. Some numerical illustrations are given to represent the impact of system parameters on the system capacity.
