Abstract :
Modeling the interaction of multiple agents, such as team members working together, is the basis to realize supporting systems for such groups. This becomes more relevant recently, since it becomes more and more common to realize cooperative work at distributed places and different times. Agent-based systems are used to model groups, however usually with simple approaches for the single agent. Considering the intelligence of cooperating individuals with cognitive architectures may improve the results of multi agent-based modeling. In this contribution, cognitive-based interaction between multiple agents is assumed for modeling using a cognitive architecture and new approaches based on the concepts of controllability and observability from system theory. The introduced approach is based on a suitable formalization using Situation-Operator-Modeling (SOM) as a modeling technique formalizing the interaction of systems. As a result it can be stated that the fusion of cognitive-based modeling with concepts from control theory gives a promising approach to model the interaction of multiple intelligent agents.
