Abstract :
Recognition methods with an ultrasonic sensor are often utilized in situations where optical sensors cannot be used or in objects which are hard to be identified by the approach based on the light. Among ultrasonic data, an ultrasound pressure data has the advantage of being able to acquire three-dimensional shape information with high resolution and with comparative ease by use of ultrasonic sensor array. Ultrasonic object recognition have been tried to recognize test object by applying various recognition algorithms to the objects. The aim of this paper is to compare recognition performance between these ultrasonic object recognition algorithms in the same condition.
