Abstract
Event-related potential (ERP) in subjective evaluations of picture quality and food appearance were measured and discussed. ERP component P300 for the picture quality evaluation by opinions with two separate poles, such as “Bad” and “Good”, had large amplitude. And P300 amplitude varied depending on the opinions. Results indicate that a choice of opinions is important to discuss on quantifying by ERP. Comparing ERP waveforms in picture quality and food evaluation tests, there is a difference in the ERP waveform from 250 to 600 ms.
