  • Abstract
    The Critical chain method provides a very good tool for the management of project uncertain factors. In the critical chain Safety Time of single-unit activity is stripped and the uncertainty fluctuation of activities duration is absorbed through the setting buffer. Simple trapezoidal fuzzy number is used to describe the uncertainty of the project activities duration from the uncertainty perspective. And the fuzzy durations of activities are transformed into deterministic duration through period consistency index method. Then buffer setting method is improved and the feeding buffer size is revised. Improved buffer setting method considers the characteristics of the project network structure, which make the buffer setting method more scientific and reasonable.
