Abstract :
We chose Hunlunbeier Grassland as study area, with the help of SPOT_VGT data from April to October in 1998-2008, made use of dynamic change monitoring methods of time series NDVI to analyze the spatial and temporal dynamic change characteristics and annual fluctuation of the vegetation cover. Based on the results, we knew that vegetation cover in different areas showed various change characteristics, especially the western area because of its vegetation type. In the other hand, our study can indicate that research on vegetation cover using NDVI can reflect their change process, besides, provide scientific data for the protection of grassland vegetation.
