Abstract
We have developed a pulsed lidar technique for measuring the tropospheric CO2 concentrations as a candidate for NASA´s planned ASCENDS space mission. We have developed an airborne lidar to demonstrate the measurements from aircraft. In 2010 and 2011we measured atmospheric CO2 and O2 column absorptions and line shapes on a series of flights at altitudes from 3-13 km.
