Abstract :
Understanding and interpreting context plays a major role in pervasive computing environments. This research describes a federated framework for dynamically managing context in a health care scenario. In patient management, data may be found in the general practitioners records, hospital records, test results and sensor readings. For this research, this context is registered in a central registry and the framework uses semantic web concepts to describe context in a uniform way as well as ontologies to describe the problem domain. Decision making is performed through business rules which interact with the problem domain model.
