Abstract
The concept of networked decoupling control system (NDCS for short) is proposed and its fundamental issues are investigated, including its configurations, network-induced delays and data packet dropout. With the introduced concepts of node-device connectivity matrix and network transmission matrix, three typical configurations of NDCSs are also presented and the locations of networks in the system are clearly pointed out. The proposed approach can provide a reference for characterizing an NDCS with other much more complicated configurations.
