Abstract :
An improved algorithm for arterial traffic coordinated control was described, The algorithm used optimization of the maximum bandwidth for the upper target, and used the optimization of the minimum delay of the turning traffic flow for the lower target, to get the best phase difference. A mixed integer linear programming was built based on MAXBAND method. And evaluation result using Vissim simulation shows improvements in average delay and stops with the improved algorithm for arterial traffic coordinated control.
