Abstract :
We propose to apply dicode encoding with electrical equalization in 40-Gb/s REAM-based WDM-PON. Rayleigh-backscattering tolerance and receiver sensitivity at BER of 2×10-4 are improved by 6 dB and 1.5 dB, respectively, compared with non-coded NRZ.
