Abstract :
Aimed at the problems such as narrow detecting range, low sensitivity and heavy helmet weight during tracking the head position in HMD, a new method based on the video image processing is given, which can detect the bearing angel and pitching angel of HMD relative to the aircraft. Two high-speed collection cameras installed in the back of the cockpit are used to identify the location of five points on the helmet, then the computer can calculate the angles we need.
