  • Abstract
This paper explores two relatively under-researched domains of e-waste management. First, it focuses on developing countries - using the specific case of India - which have been rather neglected compared to developed countries but which face rapidly-growing problems as local consumption of electronic products grows. Second, it focuses on large-scale consumers of electronics products. Their participation in e-waste management has been assumed, with the spotlight thrown mainly onto producer responsibility. But the participation of consumers faces a number of challenges - as described in this paper - which must be understood and negotiated if e-waste management schemes are to be effective.
