Abstract :
In the last years, environmental legislation has seen a significant rise in many countries worldwide. Eco-design and energy efficiency regulations are among the main topics of interest. Besides the legally demanded environmental performance, many companies try to build up their green image by environmental product labelling. Thus, they have to face a variety of different labels and requirements worldwide. First of all for globally acting companies, it is very time-consuming and expensive to base their Green Image on product labelling. An alternative to label single products could be to certify the company as a whole for its environmental performance. This requires a defined sustainable strategy. Company related environmental labelling creates transparency and enables the consumer to better compare between companies and their products.
