Exchange regulation-driven product declarations using a new collaboration-based approach

Fulfilling all the requirements for reporting information about substances in products often seems to impose burdens that do not offer any value in return. The main question regarding product compliance (REACH, RoHS, industry-specific) is always how to get sufficient and up-to-date compliance information from your business partners. In this paper, we, company for electrotechnology Weidmüller and business software company SAP, present a new approach in which a business network facilitates collaboration with your business partners on product compliance information. The aim of this new approach is to increase the availability of the data and to bring compliance experts together. The main goal for the first release is to make it as easy as possible for suppliers to join the business network and to enable them to exchange regulation-driven product declarations.
